Privacy Policy

Pound Pilot (“the app”) is a personal budget-tracking app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: everything stays on your device, and we collect nothing as of this date.
Data we collect
Currently, No Backend Data. Pound Pilot does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data you create stays on your device
Everything you enter — transactions, amounts, notes, monthly plans, category allocations, budget alerts, and your preferences (currency, theme, week start, notification settings) — is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
If you delete the app, this data is removed with it. Because the data is local only, it is not backed up to our servers (we have none); it may be included in your device’s own encrypted backups (e.g. iCloud / Google) if you have those enabled, which are governed by Apple’s and Google’s policies, not ours.
Device locale
On first launch the app reads your device’s region setting on the device to pick a sensible default currency. This happens entirely on-device and is not transmitted anywhere. You can change the currency at any time.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device to alert you when you approach or exceed a budget. These are generated on-device and are not sent through any external push service. You can disable them any time in the app’s Settings or your device’s system settings.
Children’s privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children, and this app is not directed at children under 16 or below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
